Genevieve (Genny) Stevens, a Toronto native, started dancing at age three and has had a passion for theatre ever since. A true triple-threat, Genny is an exceptionally hard worker with a positive can-do attitude and great comedic chops to boot. In addition to training both in acting and singing Genny, trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and modern (Graham and Horton) dance. Genny passion for dance started dancing competitively from age 9 to 16 and at age thirteen, chose to further enhance her dance training she attend the Etobicoke School of the Arts (ESA), Where she would later graduate with honours and the ballet award for highest grade of the year. Genny pursued dance further at the post-secondary level, graduating with honours from Ryerson University with a BFA Theatre Arts program in 2014.
After graduation, Genny started worked with Disney Cruise Line as a performer and worked with the company for two years performing in their many Broadway style shows. In-between contacts Genny continued to dance in Toronto working with Hannah Keil and the "Garage" as well as performing in Nuit Blanche.
Genny continues to steady work in Toronto being in shows such as The Producers and Mary Poppins and is excited to embark on her new adventure as a choreographer with Flato Markham Theatre Camp. Genny is excited to continue to grow as a performer as well as expand her talents as a film director and choreographer.

GS FILMS is a independent film and video company that focuses on creating short dance films. GS FILMS create contemporary dance films that highlight and create discussions about the many issues we face today as a society. GS FILMS's mission is to bring Canadian contemporary dance to a more accessible medium and allow emerging and established artists the ability to produce work.
